is it possible to have two different ip address and primary dns address in
different user profile in winxp ? i want my laptop to be connected to win2000
server assigning dhcp ip and also want to keep my existing network
configuration to be able to connect to static ip winnt server. Please can
somebody advise.

Use the Alternate Configuration for the static IP address. (TCP/IP
Properties / Advanced / Alternate Configuration).

i did went to tcp/ip properties advanced, but am afraid cannot find the
alternate configuration options. Can you please provide more details

Hi, i have a doubt concerning to this topic, i want to set up in the same
machine two different ip addresses for two user profiles, but on the same
network.
(when logging in with user1 to have an ip address and when logging in with
user2 to have a different ip address, same gateway, subnet mask, dns server).
