I am new to computers so please be nice to me. My problem may be small to some but to me it is a beginners nightmare. I am a am a music producer and I record tons of audio files on my computer. I was told by an fellow musician that I needed a separate hard drive just for the music and audio files. That made a lot of sense, so I had the hardrive(removable) installed. The problem is I can't figure out how to locate the drive. How do I put my music on the new d: drive without mixing the files with the old c: drive. Would I have to load Windows Xp on the new drive. I really need help. Thanks

It's not hard at all. Just go about it the same way you
have been doing for the C drive. If you want to see
exactly what's on (D:) - then Double click 'My
Computer' and look for the D drive. If you don't see it,
whoever installed it did not do something right and you
need to get that corrected. If you do see it, double
click on it, it will open it up. At that point you can
make folders directly on D: (right click in an open
space and choose 'new' and then choose 'folder' and name
it what you want) At that point you can create a
directory to lead to those particular folders. Example--
D:\folder name. Hope that helps. Wayne B.
