i have two ADSL modems... one for the internet and the other for my VPN....
how do i set the internet modem gateway be the gateway to use by the internet
explorer? both modems were plugged to my switch... one gateway is 192.168.1.2
and other is 10.100.0.17..

Thanks

The Default Gateway is *always* the Internet direction. Other paths have to
use Static Routes.

The two gateways have to be in the same subnet, you can *not* have
192.168.1.2 & 10.100.0.17. They have to be from the same subnet (like
192.168.1.2 & 192.168.1.3).

The Client machines set their Default Gateway to the device used for the
Internet.
The one used for the Internet needs to be the one that has the Static Route
to points to the "other" device for destinations on the remote LAN at the
other end of the VPN.

So all outbound traffic goes to the Internet device first, which then
separates out the traffic to the remote LAN and passes it over to the other
device which then sends it over the VPN Tunnel.
