Two drives: one XP and one Me?

I am installing XP Home on my C drive. Using Norton Ghost,
I have transferred a complete image of C with Me and all
of my programs to physically separte D. Is it possible to
use the multiple operating capability of XP so that I can
pre-select which drive (and consequently XP or Me)I want
to boot into? If not, is there a way to disable the master
drive (C, where XP will be) so it defaults to the slave (D
where Me will be.) I want this capability because a couple
of expensive programs I use will not operate under XP. I
will greatly appreciate any guidance here. Thank you.

It's not that easy.

Although you copied the ME install to D, everything in the ME install will expect it
to be running from C. You will have issues. Perhaps doing a reinstall of ME on the D
drive (overtop of itself) will reset the pointers to the D drive. Then install XP to
the C drive as multi-boot. Beside that, dial booting can be problematic with shared
folders and such when it is working perfectly.

Curious... why keep ME?
