Not being too familiar with Sata Drives (I'm used to IDE)
I'm asking if you can have two Sata drives on one connection (1 master & 1
slave)?

One per connector

Since there can only be one drive per connector, that would be
expected.

SATA has a feature called port multiplication. If supported by the
controller, multiple drives can be connected to the same port.

Interesting. Where does one find the cables?

You buy a port multiplier, and use normal sata cables.

COOL.

That's good to know: it means I don't have to stop with my current
collection of 4 internal HDs.

kind of very short answers...
when connecting 2nd sata, the pc might not boot, because it sees the 2nd
disk as the first - so no OS available. Then swap the connector cables. when
there's only one disk it doesn't matter which connector u use.
sometimes the 1st conn. has a different color.
it is true that the 2nd disk has no need to be set as slave when using sata
hd's
