Is it possible to host two different domains on one server.
eg. abc.com.au AND xyz.com.au
And keep DNS and everything separate as if they were on two separate
machines??

If this is possible could someone perhaps point me in the direction of
further information.

thanks for your time.

Surely others have required this solution?? Mergers, acquisitions??
Our situation is we have a closely related but separate organization that
doesn't have the resources for a server on-site so they want us to host them
on our server.
Without testing thus far, i'm assuming i can just create a second domain
within Active directory but i would like to hear from someone that has tried
this before - as i know things won't be straight-forward. I'm guessing we'll
have DNS problems to contend with as well.

You'll have more than DNS problems - it simply won't work. Any solution I
can think of requires at least one DC at each site. As far as I know of you
simply cannot do what you want.
