I want to do custom animation on two points in a single line of text. For
example, I want to have a word pop up, then the definition that follows. The
key is that it has to been within the SAME LINE of text...whenever I try to
do this, it pulls the entire line together and doesn't separate the
animation..example:

Dog: furry creature

I want dog: to appear, a discussion to follow, then when I click, furry
creature to appear....even though I have 2 animation programmed on separate
areas of the line, Dog: furry creature appear all together...can this be done?

Hi Dr Marsha

You'll need to put the words 'dog' and 'furry creature' into separate text
boxes and then animate the text boxes. Don't forget about the alignment
buttons on the drawing toolbar that will help you line up the textboxes
neatly.

Thank you so much! Can you use the bullet-point feature in front of the text
boxes or does that not work? And also, I'm not familiar with the alignment
buttons...how do you use them?

You can also use text box for these separate words - i.e. Use one
textbox for "Dog" and another textbox for ":furry creature". select
these textboxes and choose the effects (from custom animation) based
on your preferences.
