Two copies of Windows XP on same computer?

Is it possible / practical to install both a copy of Win XP Home and Win XP
Pro on the same machine? My hard drive is partitioned into three logical
drives. If possible, I want to install Pro and get it running before
removing Home.

Why would you want to do this? What are you trying to achieve? What
risks are you worried about?

My hunch is that you'll increase chances of messing things up if you do
the upgrade this way. The standard upgrade should work just fine. Do you
have concerns or information otherwise?

Microsoft publishes in the Knowledge base how to setup a machine for
booting multiple operating systems.

I don't think you should need to do this, but I offer it simply because
you asked.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Yes, you can, but why do you want to do this? Are you aware that
XP Home is a subset of XP Professional? There's nothing in Home
that's not also in Professional, so there's advantage to having
more than Professional.
