I have accidently installed 2 copies of Windows 2000 on my
computer. I would like to get rid of the extra copy, but
don't know how to do this. Also, everytime that the
computer reboots, it defaults to Windows Setup. I would
like to stop this as well. So when the computer reboots,
it shows two copies of Windows 2000 to boot up in, & it
asks you to choose which one to boot up in. Those are the
top two lines, but the line below this defaults to Windows
Set Up. I only want one line & that is booting up to one
& only copy of Windows 2000.

You can control this via the System Properties.

Control Panel > System > Advanced [tab] > Startup and Recovery [button]. In the System Startup section, select the configuration that boots properly from the drop down list.

Uncheck "Display list of operating systems.....". Click on OK till you're out.

I doubt that you really have the OS installed twice. It may just have a double listing, which is harmless.
