I'm considering buying this printer, but I need to know if it will allow me to
print a 5"x18"" Panorama and I'm curious how Black and White prints look.

1. I would cut a 13"x19" print paper in half (two 6.5"x19"pieces of paper) so I
could make two panoramas at two separate printings. I use Photoshop 7.0 so
making the image size 5"x18" is no problem. Actually, most of the panorama
prints would probably be a little smaller. Does the printer interface let me
set the paper size at 13.5"x 19"? or am I limited to the standard paper sizes?
I know the Epsons let me create custom sizes.

2. Can I print Black and White (I really mean grayscale) without a color cast
on the print? I understand the print is best if printed as a color file.
Thanks,
Lynn

There is a custom size selection. You could also feed in a 13 x 19,
print one panorama, turn it round and print the second, then cut it
up.

I've printed B&W on Ilford Galerie Pearl paper and it comes out pretty
good. No detectable colour cast. I also tried it with Jet Tec ink and
it was identical to Canon.
