No snneaky looks.

What am I photographing ?

Clue - it is a bird.

Open the pics left to right.

Can you spot me wood pile to the left of the farm track in the picture below ? You get a slightly closer look at it in picture two, sort of bottom right.

Aww nice pics Abarbarian - a lone Heron, they always look enormous, don't they? Is there a stream or river somewhere close by? We occasionally see them perched on a neighbour's roof ... usually keeping an eye on their fish-pond ;)
 
Yup there is a river behind the fence. They look huge when they are flying in to land with that big wing span an all.

Along the way there is a small stream that they seem to use as a cafe. Sometines you get 6 or 7 of em there having a good ol chin wagg then nada for a couple of weeks. Never had me camera with me at the right time.

I got a very bad pic of one sat on a chimney pot out me back window ... although, I do have several good shots of other herons.

Course I stopped the car, it is an offence to take pictures whilst driving. Mind you I was on private property so that might not apply.

He/she is a frequent visitor and sometimes can be seen in the water fishing for supper.

They are lovely birds..Me brother used ot live on a house boat and one would come sit on top of the boat every morning....Th
 
They make good kebabs too as you can hold em by the legs as you roast em.
