Thanks to Cary for test info on my earlier post.

3 servers running AD servers A,B and C. Server A is master
also running AD intergrated DNS. Server C will not
replicate and gives all sorts of DNS errors.

Now server C has 2 network cards, 1 to the network and 2
to a proxy server as it runs webfiltering software. The
server has decided to ignore card 1 which has the AD DNS
entry and use the 2nd card. If second card has a web based
DNS entry in the server uses that, if it's taken out then
netdiag reports failure on 127.0.0.1.

How can I force AD to use network card 1?

Check the Binding Order on the server to make sure the internal
network adapter is first in the binding order list. To check the
binding order, follow these steps:

1. Right-click My Network Places, and then click Properties.

2. Click the Advanced Menu, and then click Advanced Settings.

3. Under Connections, make sure the internal network adapter is
listed first. If it is not, use the arrows to move it to the top of
the list.
