TweakUI

The TweakUI tool for XP (version 2.10.0.0) is different from the
Win98 tool in that instead of tabs at the top as in 98, the
various settings are listed in the left pane, which I find less
convenient than the tabs. Does anyone know if any other version
of TweakUI with tabs will work in XP?

Then, how do you get the applet into Control Panel as in 98? If
anyone has the registry fix, which I assume it needs, would
appreciate it also.

Any version works. Copy the cpl file to system32 directory.
