I have a client who wishes to download TweakUI for XP,
but his regional settings are for the UK English and
cannot decide whether to try downloading it or not. For
what I understand, Microsoft is specifiying US English
only. Will it work or not?

The XP sold in the UK is the same as the US one, and the TweakUI will
work.

But at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp
there is now a new version, with extra facilities, for SP1 and it
appears not to install unless you *have* SP1. So if that is not
installed, you need the earlier version. As a temporary expedient I
have put a copy at
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alistair.nichol/TweakUI_XP_201.exe
