Hello

I have the Radeon AIW 9600.

When I am in the TV tuner and click pause and go to relieve myself, I
then come back and click to watch the TV from where I left off.
However, the TV that is still recording ahead of me has sound as well
and it is mixed with the sound from the playback.

Any ideas on how to overcome this problem so I can watch the playback
and its sound from where I left off while still continuing to record
the current programme ahead of me, including its sound, but obviously
not hearing that sound just the one from the playback? If you get
what I mean?

Cheers

John

Hi John,

Is there a connection between Your video card and Your sound card? I don't
know the AIW cards but most TV cards are connected to the sound card. If
that is the case, can't You just lower the PLAYBACK (not the record volume
off course because then You would be recording without sound) volume of the
external input of the sound card?

Greetings,
Rene

In the audio mixer, mute the connector the output of the AIW is connected
into. Usually Line In or Auxiliary. When playing back the audio is coming
from the wave setting. If you have an Audigy it'll be similar but you may
need to play around with the settings in Analog mix to get the right one.
Haven't done it for a while. After you do this a few time the software will
figure it out and may do it for you. YMMV.
