A friend's computer started giving her messages that said "Internet Explorer
encountered an error and must shut down now" then it went on asking if she'd
like to send Microsoft an error report. I clicked on the details option and
saw that a certain dll file was causing the problem. The name of the file is
"tvbho.dll" located in the program files\TV Media folder. Also in that
folder is an executable file named tvm.exe. I uninstalled the software but
it wouldn't allow me delete the folder claiming the file was in use by
another process. Does anyone know what this software is and where it comes
from? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Her machine is infected. You can Google for the relevant information. But,
more importantly, you deleted software without knowing what it is, what it
does, what is dependant upon it and what it is dependant upon. Not good.
Never delete anything without knowing the above about it.
