Coach Mike Wyatt

i asked this about a week ago and don't think i was understood well. at
school i have a computer and big screen tv that i present american
history with. i use powerpoint, dvds and a vcr. i have a second tv that
i can run videos on through the vcr to the the big screen and through a
coax am able to relay it to a second tv in the back of the room.,

my question is there any kind of coax that i can run from my computer to
my big screen tv that will allow my powerpoints to be seen both on the
big screen tv and small tv simultaneously

Coach,

You need to buy some kind of "magic box" that splits the tv signal into 2 and amplifies it.

They are called "distribution amplifiers". Search google to find one or.....

See
http://www.tvone.com/scanconpage.shtml

and
http://www.tvone.com/signalpage.shtml

You need to ask yourself.....

(1) do I want to split the pc signal into many....
or
(2) do I want to convert the PC signal to a tv signal, then split that tv signal.

The 1st route will give better quality...but will cost more in cabling
The 2nd route will cost less and give (probably) lower quality.

Taj lives in the UK. Use the telephone or the web to find out if your local
store has what you need.

Me personally..... I wouldn't buy it.

Why?

1) It has no case
2) It reads...."Units appear NEW, but are untested"
3) It looks like a card that slots in a desktop pc...I can't see any gold edge connector (where's it going to get it's
power from?)
4) It's cheap

I didn't even think about whether it would work or not.

Mike, this thread has gone way way beyond PowerPoint. The newsgroup is not
a shopping service. If you want to purchase from Best Buy, pick up the
phone and call them. Ask them whether they carry any of the products that
TAJ has suggested. He's pointed you to some very userful information that
includes the model number, brand, etc.
