Turning Scandisk off @ start up

Is it possible to stop Chkdsk running at start up & if so how?

Now got to sought out why the folder 'Home' appears when the pc starts up.
It's part of 'Documents & Settings'
Any ideas?

PC however is probably going to need a rebuild in the next few weeks.

It might be worth a look in the startup folder on the start menu to make sure there isn't a shortcut that has been dragged in there by mistake. If it doesn't appear on there, check in the startup tab on "msconfig"

Sorry Ian it's been a hard day & my brain is going.

When you say Start Menu u mean where programs & documents are etc?

It's where all your applications are listed by clicking the button in the bottom left. There should be a startup folder in the "all programs" list. The msconfig application should list these items anyway, so perhaps just skip to that and see what is listed

Cheers Ian, having a better day today think the beer worked last night!
Still problems, but will be rebuilding the pc in the next few weeks & the hopefully back to Crunching.
