Often I will shoot a digital picture vertically rather
than horizontally. About every third pic, I get a screen
that says a problem has been encountered and the program
needs to close. i send an error report to Microsoft. How
do I find out what is wrong, or trigger what the error
reports are saying needs to be done?? Thanky. .v.

I guess the problem occurs when you rotate the images?

Maybe the following KB article will offer some ideas:

(815240) Windows Explorer Stops Responding
When You Try to Rotate a JPEG Image in
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

Have you copied or transferred the picture to your hard drive first?
Sometimes trying to rotate the picture that is on your camera causes this
problem.

I have the same problem as below and thing the solution
in the KB article will work. However, the update isn't
available to download and MS support won't help because
its an OEM version, and my PC supplier won't help because
its a 'software issue'.

Does anyone know where I can download this fix from?

thanks,
Rob

I am not positive that the patch at the following site
will solve your particular problem. If you decide to try
it...please let us know the outcome.
