turning off new programs

Hi,
How do I turn off that annoying New programs balloon and delete the
highlighted programs in the menu
 
Hi,

Taskbar and Start Menu settings/Start Menu tab, click "customize. Uncheck
the option to highlight newly installed programs on the advanced tab.

Delete by right click choose delete shortcut.
