Turning Off My Computer

I am the computer administrator. When I go to Start>Turn Off Computer,
nothing happens. However, if I swith user to another person on my computer,
then when I go to Start>Turn Off Computer, it works OK.

Can anyone help me with this?

Sounds like there's a service running that windows can't shut down.
this happens most frequently with 3rd party drivers. i had this
problem with a Sprint modem driver. i started using the windows
wireless manager instead and that fixed it.

this would also explain why it works with other users. because that
other user doesn't have that service running. then it just shuts down
and negates shutting down your account specific services.
