Download and install TweakUI for XP from Microsoft. It has numerous settings
for Autoplay.

Try Power Toy's Tweak UI from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx
Install, run and expand as follows: 'My Computer', 'Auto Play', 'Types'
check the option to disable this feature from removable drives.

When you represented with the pop-up window, elect the " Take No Action"
option and then check the box for always perform this action.

Thanks Fuz. I already had TweakUI installed. I ran it, unchecked the
drives which presented the problem, and all is well.
