Oh, I agree! Autoplay can be annoying and the delays for its screen to come
up are.... annoying too. I use TweakUI for XP to adjust this. I have it
turned off on my DVDRW/CDRW drive and on for my CDRW drive. For those few
times that I actually want autoplay, I just pop the disk into the drive
that is setup for it.

Yes, I hated to see Autoplay prattling away and clogging up the screen.

Autoplay's always been one of the first things I've disabled after a clean
OS install since it was introduced with Windows 95.
