turn on The Junk Filter Bar

I seem to be the opposite of all of the correspondents here. I had a junk
filter bar in Outlook 2003 and if any junk got into my inbox then I could
click on "This is Junk" and it put it where it belonged and remembered the
address for the future. I have just downloaded an update for Norton Internet
Protection (mistake) and it has turned this bar off an I can't find out how
to turn it back on again. Therefore just about 3/4 of all of the junk ends up
in my inbox and I have to either just delete or go through the laborious
process of right clicking and telling that it is junk. How can I turn this
most useful bar on again?
Thanks
Charlie

Outlook doesn't have this bar. You probably had it added by a 3rd party tool
that you had installed (most likely Norton). Contact Norton about this.

Instead of fiddling with Norton you could also simply press the Delete
button on your keyboard. Same effect as there is no need to store/block all
those Junk Email addresses since they are never used again.

Just curious; if Norton's filter lets go through 3/4 of the spam into your
mailbox, why not reconfigure the filter or migrate to a different spam
filter?

Thanks for that Roady. All valid points. I thought that this filter was doing
something because on boot up, 7/8 of the spam went into the Junk folder and I
could just click on the "junk" button to send any highted mail that had snuck
into the inbox into the same. I was under what seems to be false impression
that something would remember the identity or maybe the domain of this spam
to consign any future mail from the same source into the junk folder
automatically. You are right though that it is not a big deal to just press
the delete key and that is what I shall do from now on. Thanks again. Charlie
