I want the screen saver within Windows XP to work when
using Power Point 2002. When there is no activity
within a Power Point show, I would like the Windows XP
screen saver to kick in.

Hi,

I don't think this can be done in PowerPoint, as it is designed to turn off
the screen saver in slideshow mode. The only success I had was to fire the
screen saver from an action setting on an object.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - If you are using Office 2003, you should install this
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint does not have the specific capability that you are looking for
unmanaged PC's. For managed PC's (using Group Policy Objects for Windows)
you can create a policy that forces a screen saver to start after a
specified amount of inactivity regardless of what application is being used.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
include an option to enable screen savers during slide show (without having
to resort to VBA, add-ins or policies), don't forget to send your feedback
to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
