Hi,
I'm a student who uses the computer often, and I'd like
to know if there is an easier way of turning the computer
on. I mean instead of reaching down and pressing the
POWER button each time to turn it on can I possibly just
press the space bar or some key on the keyboard to turn
on the whole computter? I'm not speaking about leaving
the computer on standby then moving the mouse or pressing
some key. I'm talking about after going to START and
SHUTTING DOWN the computer, the next day I can come and
simply press some key on the keyboard (ex. spacebar) and
have the computer start up fresh.

If this is possible please help me out

Thanks in advance

hi Rekha,
you can shut down your computer and get it started by
keyboard if you have the keyboard that has the
keys "wakeup/sleep/power", go to control panel "power
options" and "advanced tab make the necessary changes,
this depends upon which operating system you are using.

hope this solves your problem,
regards,
sandeep

You may also need to check your computer's BIOS for this type of setting.
My computer supports power on from a keyboard press or mouse move, but its
not a Windows setting. Check your computer's manual for instructions on
accessing the BIOS.

Lift you computer up next to your monitor then you won't have to bend down

Sorry couldn't resist
