turn off type ahead

When I type a letter in a combo box it fills in the data from other data
that was entered. type ahead feature. How can I turn this off. It's an
accident waiting to happen

In most circumstances, it's a time-saver. However, if you want to turn it
off, set the combo box's Auto Expand property (on the Data tab of its
design-view property sheet) to No.
 
Not sure why you think it's an accident waiting to happen,
but you can turn it off by setting the Auto expand property
to No.
