I am using a Mac "dock" clone for my taskbar and was wondering if there
is any way to turn off the taskbar completely instead of just
auto-hiding it?
Thanks

Replace the shell setting EXPLORER.EXE with your Mac clone in the
Registry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Shell

Thanks for the help. I was using Yz Dock and when I changed the registry
setting, Y'z dock started okay, but then I had no dektop icons or
anything.
It *did* hide the taskbar - but everything else as well.
Any ideas how to integrate it further by just having the taskbar off,
but Win Explorer functions working as well as the dock?

Hope this helps:

1. right click the taskbar

2. left click the lock the taskbar

3. now grab the top edge of the taskbar and drag it all
the way down till it disapears

good luck!

Once it is locked - I can't get it to move!
