turn off reminder on deleted event

I have deleted a recurring event from Outlook XP, but reminder keeps coming
back every hour or so. What is going on? This program is very unstable and
this is just one example of problems I have with Outlook. Help!

Did you try closing outlook and restarting it with the /cleanreminders
switch?
