Turn off numbering on hidden slides

Does anyone know how to turn off the numbering for slides that are hidden. I have many slides that are currently hidden. I have a numbering field in my master slides to number each slide. When I hide a slide I would expect the numbering to continue for only the visible slides but it does not. For example if slides 2, 4, and 6 are hidden slides and I have 5 slides showing i would expect the slide number in slide view to show 1,2,3,4,5. Instead, what I see is 1,3,5,7,8.

unfortunately I see no possibility in PowerPoint to turn off the numbering
of hidden slides automatically. Two possibilities:

- Add a text shape with the correct number on each non-hidden slide manually
- Move all hidden slides to the end of your presentation.

I sent you (off list) a modified page numbering add-in that will allow for
hidden slides not to be numbered.

Important Note:
The 'Page' number will not reflect the actual slide number.

I am looking for the same thing in order to stop numbering hidden slides. Can you send me this add-in please.
