I have a problem with the modem logging on my XPe image.

system :
Modem driver installed and working, but modem not allways connected.
Incoming connections server configured for the modem.
EWF on a CF disk

The problem is that the incoming connection server tries to initialize
the modem.
As the modem is not always fysically present this initialization fails.
When it fails it logs it to a file (c:\windows\ModemLog_MyModel.txt)
This file slowly growing and as i have EWF enabled for the disk,
eventually provokes an out of memory situation as the EWF is exhausting
the RAM resources.
I have tried to turn off the Modem logging under the modem but it still
keeps on logging.

SO !!!
Is there any way of turning off the Modem logging ???

regards
Peter

hi

go into the registry and set the logfile path to an ewf unprotected
partition or to nowhere...
here is the registry path for you:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96D-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}\????\LoggingPath

best regards
