tells us to turn off fast saves.
I've been doing a lot of reading lately and may have brain overload but
I seem to remember that somewhere it's written that you must have fast saves
turned on or it causes a conflict with something. I wish I could remember
where or why???? Or do I just have it backwards??

We haven't found a good reason to keep Fast Saves "On". Leaving it on
causes PowerPoint to increase the size of the file and that causes alarm and
confusion for many users.

Jim,

Having "fast saves" turned on...causes problems. Having it turned off has never caused any problems in my experience.

Turning it off conflicts with PowerPoint's ability to make humongous files for
no good reason. That's about it. ;-)
