Turn Off Computer Display

I'm running Windows XP Home, and I have a problem I can't
fix, please help. Every 2-3 minutes I get a pop up
asking if I want to shut down the computer. I have to
cancel each time, but it contiues to pop up. Does anyone
know how to get rid of this?

What's the title of the message in question? Can you give the exact text in
the message as well? Does the Event Log show anything? What did you do
before this message started appearing? What happens if you do shutdown your
computer? Do you have a good AntiVirus Software (updated) running? Have
you checked for Adware/Spyware? When was the last time you did a disk
defragmentation and scandisk? Is your firewall on?
