When I am using my computer for about 1 hour it
automatically goes locks the computer and then i have to
hit atl+ctrl+delete. This is not a screen saver. How do I
turn this function off?

I am using a laptop with Windows 2000 Pro SP4.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a power management scheme. Windows loads with
a default power management scheme that is set to conserve
battery power ah-la "Energy Star" complient.
- Access your power management settings from Control
Panel or right click the desktop - Properties - Screen
Saver tab - Power button.
- Click the "twiste" on Power Schemes to see the various
ones available.
- Click one of the choices to see the settings you can
adjust below (you have to have administrator rights to
make a change}
- If your laptop is always plugged into power choose the
Always On scheme and choose the NEVER setting for all of
the shutdown options. Apply - OK
