hi,

I am opening an Excel Spreadsheet via Access 2000, but because the
spreadsheet has links to other files it pops out the familiar message:

"The workbook you opened contains links to information in another
workbook. ..."

How do I turn it off from the Access VBA module?

many thanks,
ricardo

Ricardo,

Why not open the Excel file, under the main menu select
Edit/Links, click on the Startup Prompt, and select the
appropriate option.

Save and close the file.

Mark,

I forgot to mention that I have read-only privilegies to the excel file.

Do you have any other suggestions?

Many thanks,
Ricardo
