TULS2-C and system freezes

Anybody have any ideas why every time I insert a CD into either the CDROM or
CDRW drive it completely freezes entire system while it's accessing and
reading the discs.

specs:
TULS2-C
PIII933, 512MBPC133 RAM,
Primary master: Plextor 12/10/32 CDRW on
Primary slave: Asus 52x CDROM on
secondary master: LS120
GForce3 Ti500 vid card
Pci 1: Promise Ultra66 IDE1 WD 20G ATA100 drive
IDE2 Samsung 30G ATA100 drive
Pci 2: Happauge WinTV go
Pci 3: Dlink 10/100 NIC
Pci 4: blank
Pci 5: SB Live value

Win98SE
No overclocking

Had these components in a Tyan 1854 VIA chipset board where this annoyance
was not present.

Any help???

Does it stay frozen then? If so, suspect the PSU. Otherwise the drives
are probably not running in DMA mode. Are you using the IAA?
