Hello,

I need help for a particular configuration ?

Some users logs in the domain under their username, with some roaming
profiles

Same users also access to a terminal server to run server based
environment apps (Office, etc?)

I want to apply a policy to reduce the terminal server environment (Ex.
Remove shutdown menu, avoid use of IE, etc?)

This is easy to do, but the problem is that the policy also apply to
their desktop, and I want this policy apply only to the TS

So is it possible to apply a policy to same users that only affect the
terminal server side ?

Any solution welcome!

Best regards,

OL .:

Hello,

I am having the same challange as described in the original posting. I tried
the solution described in "260370 How to Apply Group Policy Objects to
Terminal Services Servers", but it seems like the settings in User
Configuration are not applied. Do you know how to apply different User
Configuration to one user when logged on to this local PC and when logged on
to a terminal server?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Bjorn Andre Leroen

The Group Policy loopback feature gives you the ability to apply Group
Policy objects that depend only on which computer the user logs on to.

This works great thank you! But how can I prevent the user policy from
applying to Administrator?

Regards,

Bjørn

You need to change the security setting for the administrators group by
checking deny apply policy.
