I have a XP pro and trying to connect to a win 2k server terminal server. I get the message "Remote connections might not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to accept new connections. It is also possible that the network problems are preventing your connections."

Others in my group can connect no problem. Others have logged on my computer got the the same error. but when they on their on system they can log on just fine. Can any help troubleshoot this problem.

I'm am behind a linksys router with port forwarding enable and enforced. I can connect to the server using telnet. Problem seems to be with port 3389 not letting me connect. weird others can and i can't. HELP ! ! !

Ripley,

And if you try to log on from the other computers what happens? You can log
on?

Is everyone else behind that linksys router? Is everyone else connecting to
the Terminal Server using telnet? Not sure that using Telnet is the way to
do it??? Typically you would use RDP or, in a Citrix environment, ICA.

When the others can log on from their systems, are they using telnet as
well? Or something else ( like RDP )? When they are sitting on your
computer are they using telnet ( like you are ) or something else ( like
RDP )?

HTH,

Cary
