on a software install that installs to the clients ts desktop i am getting
an error:
"You do not have access to make the required system configuration
modifications. Please rerun this install from an admin account."
The account that I am running this from is the Admin account for both the
local ts server computer and also the entire domain.
the software vendor recommended the following:
It appears that the user is being denied access to the local system
registry, so while the user does have Admin rights, those rights may not be
complete. Definitely try that new user, and keep me posted.
My question is how do I do this, or check to see that a particular user or
group has access to modify the registry and install this program. Once the
software installs on to their terminal server desktop screen i assume that i
could go back and revoke their rights to modify the registry thus keeping
other fun problems from popping up.
