The situation:
At my office I have a W2K-server running TS in Remote Adm. Mode. At home I
RDP-connect my Win XP Pro and start an accountingprogram on the server and
send the printouts to my local default printer (LPT1).
The printerport on the server shows "TS001, PC-JohnRN1", and this has
worked well for a long time.
The problem:
I connected a second printer on my local USB-port. Now the printerport on
the server shows "TS001, PC-JohnRN2" and "TS002, PC-JohnRN1".
If I use TS001, the printout goes to the USB-port and if I use TS002, I will
get an error message and no printouts.
I tried to avoid the problem by connecting my default printer to a
printserver on the LAN, but then the server could not find it.
The questions:
#1: Is it possible to forse TS001 to connect to PRN1?
#2: Is it possible to connect TS001/-2 to the printer on the LAN-printserver?
Any help would be appreciated.
