I have setup a TS in Windows 2000 server with 7 CALs
When I use Windows 2000 or XP as a client, it can issue a licsence to it.
but if I use a Windows ME/9X as a client, only a tempory licsence was
issued.
(I installed Remote Desktop in Windows ME/9X for login)

How can I issue a licsence to a Windows ME/9X machience ??

thanks

With "7 CALs", do you mean CALs or TS CALs? For a non-W2K or XP
client, you need to install TS CALs on the TS Licensing Server
(besides having enough normal server CALs for all clients).
Can you post the EventIDs from the EventLog on the TS regarding any
licensing issues?

The 7 CALs is the TS CALs, I have install the license in TS Licensing
Server.
The TS Licensing Server shows that 5 are available and 2 was issued.
I've try to use a Windows ME/9X to login, the result is login success but no
license was issue.

Here are some event log come from my server.

System Log
The terminal services could not locate a license server. Confirm that all
license servers on the network are registered in WINS\DNS, accepting network
requests, and the Terminal Services Licensing Service is running. (1010)

The terminal server cannot issue a client license. (1004)

The terminal service client 'COMP' has provided an invalid license. (1003)

OK, that clarifies the situation. It is event 1010 (cannot locate
LS) which is the cause of the problems. Try to hardcode the name
of the LS into the registry of the TS (even when they are running
on the same server).
