Hi

I have to set up traveling laptop users to access one app
on a TS app-server. They all have high speed from each
acces location. I will be setting the clients with the
Client Connection Manager (CCM) so they will only have
access from their laptops to the one app they need and
not the entire server destop. The Server will also be
running other services.

Is there a way that I can push out a CCM connection from
GPO or other way of pushing it out to both XP and 2K
clients with little or preferably no client side
interaction?

How about a way to accomplish the same thing from the
server side where clients can then access the TS from RDC
or 2K TS clients but will immidiately see only the one
app they need to run and never see the server desktop?

Last, if I set up clients to use CCM to the one app
either remotely or by exporting the connection file and
manually importing it to each laptop, what is the danger
that they will access other areas of the server from
there?

Thanks people

You can do this all server side. In the Active Directory
Users and Groups, you can go to each person's account and
specify the program to start at logon. This should
accomplish what you want.

See above.

If you are worried about them using other programs when
they shouldn't, then you should look into NTFS permissions
a little bit more. You can make their account only have
permissions to their application directories, and to
nother else on the server.
