I'm trying to use remote assistance, both computers are XP SP2. I send the
invitation via email, and the person who gets it cannot opern the link
RcBuddy.MsRcIncident. The error msg reads: "The file does not have a program
associated with it for permitting this action. Create an association in the
folder options control panel". When I access the folder options and look up
the file it seems to be associated correctly ie "Microsoft remote assistance
incident". I understand that when I click on this file it's supposed to
Launch "Help and Support" but it does not. I turned the firewalls off in
both the computers , no joy. What am I missing. Have read the MS remote
assistance help and
don't find an answer. Appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance

THanks in advance

Some non-MS email programs add a file extension name to the RA file name.
Outlook and OE do not. I would check for that...

Thanks for your response. You were absolutely correct. My default email is
Eudora and it did exactly as you said. I switched to OE and had no problems,
thanks again
