when i press the new button for a new message a pop up box appears stating,
"a program is trying to access e-mail addresses you have stored in Outlook.
Do you want to allow this?" and then states,"If this is un-espected , it may
be a cirus and you should choose "no"." and i am also promted with the
choice of allowing for a certain amount of time or denying.

Is it possible to trace down the e-mail that has the program thats causing
this?

do you have adobe acrobat installed with the outlook addin?

While this is written for ol2002:
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2002sp3.htm#problems, these programs may
affect ol2003 and the fixes are basically the same. (The adobe fix is listed
there.)

I'dumb it works!

No ADOBE com addin mentioned but if you open a new mail, if it's runing you
will see it in the upper left corner. to disable it :

To prevent the Acrobat PDFMaker COM Addin from loading, go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\PDFMOutlook.PDFMOutlook
and change the LoadBehavior value from 3 to 2. Restart Outlook. The PDF
functions will still be available in Word and the other Office programs. Note
that installing Acrobat updates may reset the registry key.

Thanks a lot Diane.
