Trying to start Farcry

I downloaded farcry from a company called Direct2Drive(part of
fileplanet.com). I have it installed on my computer. When i click the farcry
icon to play the game, i get nothing happeneing, nothing loading at all. what
would cause this to happen?
 
Are you sure it is the actual game and not a patch? If I remember
correctly the game comes on 3 CDs, that makes for a cool 1.6 GB. The
patch is approximately 70 MB.

Corrupt download?
The download is likely a demo or mod/patch. The real game is on five install
CD's.
