Trying to retain history in address task bar

I jsut wanted ot know if anyone else has had problem with
internet explorer 6.0 I am not able to retain any history
in my address task bar i have already tried internet
options and setting the amount of days i wat to keep my
hsitory but it has not worked. Thanks for any help
