Hi, I'm trying to if I can, re-install windows XP Home Edition on my
girlfriends laptop. Windows XP came pre-loaded on her computer and we can not
find a installation cd or anything that refers to re-installing XP. Is there
anything I can do to accomplish this? I remember a long time ago with a
desktop unit I purchased, that customer support told me that there is a
folder in the windows directory (I386) which holds the setup files for
windows... Is this true and if you can provide any additional help it will be
greatly appreciated...

Make/Model of the laptop?

The laptop is a handme down from her parents and it is a "Great Quality" "mx
3203" I think its a "fry's Electronics" brand. Couldn't find anything on
their website though...

Thanks for the response, you help is appreciated...

I believe that unless the I386 folder is a copy of the origonal xp
installation cd then it cannot be done.
