Im trying to open a Sony Vaio Chassis. I managed to remove the lid from
the top and I cant slide the actual chassis out of the plastic casing.
It looks as though it has manufacturer's Hooks implanted from the
plastic into the metal part of the chassis making me think they didnt
want me to get in there and take out the memory.

well anyways if Anyone has this problem or has had this problem and
resolved it let me know im trying to get the Ram Chips out for another
PC I am using. Thanks

If you use search terms like "disassembly sony vaio", there are
web sites which have pictures of how to disassemble a machine.

http://www.altavista.com/web/results?itag=ody&q=disassembly+sony+vaio"

Here is an example:

http://www.cs.bath.ac.uk/~jpc/vaio/

And another example here, in PDF format. I can see an SODIMM on the
left hand side, in this doc. The SODIMM is fitted in a socket.
Some motherboards also have RAM chips soldered to the motherboard,
but those cannot be removed.

Now, if you'd included a model number for the computer, you might
have got a more detailed answer. Plugging the model number into
the search engine, could turn up more specific info.
