Can anyone help. I have a cable modem for my internet
service, which feeds into an asante router that splits
into 3 cables. I tried to use the network wizard, but
I'm not getting it to work. My questions are
1-Is the router considered a "residential gateway"?
2- after I set up the 1st computer with a home network,
it says I can make a disk for the other computers. If
they all (3) have XP, do I need to do this?
3- I want to share "My Documents" and turned on file
sharing. How will I know if this is working.

Thanks to anyone who can help me out

.
Bill, you will have to use the home networking wizard on
all three computers. You can do this with each computer
so you don't need the disk. Depending on how you set it
up it may do an automatic firewall which you may have to
disable in advance settings.
