Workstations upgd to W2k weeks ago, doing fine. Today,
Server upgd to W2k & won't see self as "f". Workstations
see it as f but "not connected" red x

My software people won't help & Windows wants $245. :(

In W98 we used to type in autoexec subst f c (some slashes
& colons in there too)

This one now evidently we can see it (update a minute ago)
but it says to type in password & we don't want Any
passwords. Life's difficult enough without that. 98 was
simpler in many ways. Help anyone?
Very grateful you'd take the time on Sunday....
Thanks,
Doreen

1. mapping server f: what do you get if using net view \\servername command
from a client. if you get system error 53, this is name resolution issue; if
you get error 5, it is permission issue.
2. simple access: you may want to enable guest account.
